Join NCCC members for this panel in which we will talk about our activities and provide valuable insights into the hows and whys of forming a supportive comic arts community.
Celebrating Will Eisner Day at the Comic-Con Museum
Saturday, March 6, 12pm - 4pm
Comic-Con Museum, 2131 Pan American Plaza, San Diego
Will Eisner Day will feature a series of four panels celebrating Eisner's favorite thing--graphic novels! In addition to an overview of the newest inductees to the Will Eisner Hall of Fame, there will be panel discussions of GNs featuring cats and dogs, a discussion of literary adaptations, and a spotlight on some memoirs by women. NCCC members Mark Habegger, Rocco Versaci, and Mary Fleener will serve, respectively, on these last three panels.
Celebrating Luann at the Comic-Con Museum
Saturday, July 19, 1pm - 2pm
Comic-Con Museum, 2131 Pan American Plaza, San Diego
Running now through November of 2025, the Comic-Con Museum will feature an exhibit focusing on the comic strip Luann, which recently celebrated its 40th year in syndication. Part of this exhibit will be the opportunity to hear from two of our NCCC members: Luann cartoonist Greg Evans and his daughter/co-writer Karen Evans.
