Jollies!
The NCCC produces a semi-annual mini-comic that features work from its members. Issues appear in early spring and mid-summer. If you're interested in obtaining copies, please email us at northcountycartoonists@gmail.com or look for us at the San Diego Comic Fest, WonderCon, or the San Diego Comic-Con.
Issue #1 features an excerpt from Mary Fleener's upcoming graphic novel The Happy Hour, Greg Evans's illustrated essay about Luann and censorship, sketches from people involved in the original Comic-Con, and much more!
Issue #2 features a photo essay on the creation of collectible 3-D figures of characters from Luann, several short stories, and even some doodles and diary comics!
Issue #3 features a glimpse into Wendy All's Comic-Con sketchbook journal from the 1970s (featuring original artwork by some of the greats!), a quick update on the Luann collectible figure project, and a story about a crow's funeral from the inimitable Mary Fleener. All this plus doodles, one-panel gags, a couple of continuing stories, and real fake ads!
